To wank or not to wank...
Hmmm, not knowing what to talk about I asked my ever helpful boyfriend [Neil] what I should talk about today... Wanking came the reply, thanks Neil that's really helpful!
Tory Boy
I'm very excited, my membership card for the Conservative Party arrived a few days ago, I can't believe I'm a fully paid up member for the Tory party; the one political party I thought I would never join, strange how things change!
After living under Labour, or should I say 'New Labour', for nine years since 1997 I've now had the chance to see what both the Conservative and the Labour parties are like in office and I have to say that I long for the days when Maggie lived in number 10 and nobody dared go on strike. I'm sorry to have to launch into an attack on the Labour Party but since they've been in power I've seen more strikes, countless changes to the law, increasing numbers of civil servants and the stiffing of small business on things like Corporation Tax - I just cannot see how the Government think they can continually change the country to suit their vision of a constantly smiling 'New Labour' land.
So much has changed in the country that you no longer know whether your coming or going and what you can and can't do; even a task such as buying a something over the internet or phone has turned into an assualt course of needing to answer questions such as whether the card your buying the item on is registered at your house and if not what address is it registered to and what connection do you have with that address. It just feels that at every turn we're constantly being frowned upon like some naughty school child, even the ministers in the cabinet seem a little too close to the classroom for my liking; certainly Patricia Hewitt, who in my mind seems more like a schoolmistress than a politician.
Of course the one excuse that the Labour Party seems to love using when the shit hits the fan is 'I didn't know', I'm sorry Labour but if you work in the private sector and say 'I didn't know' when it was in-fact your job to know then you would be skating on very thin ice; yet some how uttering those three little words seems to get countless ministers off the hook. I really am sorry if this post seems like an attack on the Government but I'm just sick of being lied to, the Labour Party is no different to what it was like in the 1970s and the only thing 'new' about them is that they actually let Blair kick them into shape for ten years; a kicking that appears to be wearing off.
Now you can have your say...
Well, I've finally done it! After months of promising to update my website, I've finally got around to making a small change by adding a comments facility to let all of you tell me what you think. Scary I know, you get the chance to have your say... All I ask is that you're gentle, this is my website after all and I hold it very dear as everything you see (bar the photography, which I will change soon) is my own work. So please feel free to let me know your thoughts, feelings and by all means rant along with me if you wish, it'd be nice to see how many people (if any) read my blog. I'm beginning to wonder if the only readship I get is from lost Googlers and dead budgies.
